If you want to travel to somewhere warm and wonderful, the Gare de Lyon is the place to go in Paris. It is also a Vancouver, BC, band that takes you on a journey through the evocative swing and bal musette sounds of France in the 1930s and 40s. Django Reinhardt is an obvious touchstone for the group but their repertoire also includes modern compositions in these styles and subtle influences from Balkan music.
